Arsari Kampung Beting Launches New Volunteers Program

Arsari Community of Kampung Beting, in cooperation with some students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta (UMJ),  launched a voluntary program for the children  in the community. The program was initiated by Ricardo Hutahaean, the coordinator for Arsari Kampung Beting and one of their tutors, Ari Damayanti, who is also a student from UMJ. The opening ceremony of the program was held on 11 December 2013, attended by UMJ students, kids from Arsari Community and the officers from the Jakarta Office for People’s Welfare Services.

The voluntary programs will include the following: learning assistance for primary, secondary and junior high school students; painting, dancing, music and theater; computer skill training, sports, and informal learning program to get A, B and C certificates which are equal to primary, secondary and junior high school certificates.
