Keiko Alisya Wibiputri wins first place for the Kyorugi Category (4-6 age group)

The Palapa Club, in cooperation with the Department of Sports, DKI Jakarta, organized a Taekwondo Championship for children in kindergarten, primary school, middle school and high school (ages 4-18 years old) in Jakarta on 28th May 2016. The competition was joined by around 1,000 participants from various schools around the JABODETABEK area. The said competition was held in Cempaka Putih Sports Stadium.

The Despuri Klender Pre-school also joined the said activity with Keiko Alisya Wibiputri representing the school. She was able to win the gold championship medal as the best athlete in the kindergarten category (4-6 years old) for the Kyorugi Category (sparring).

Keiko started practicing Taekwondo since she was 3 years old. When she was 4 years old, she began to seriously pursue this Korean martial art. A year later, at the age of 5, Keiko started to actively participate in various championships. In 2015 and 2016, of the four competitions she has participated in, this talented, young martial artist has successfully won 5 gold medals, 1 silver and 1 bronze.

Currently, Keiko has graduated from the Despuri Klender pre-school and is slated to proceed with her elementary education. (Sherly)
