Indonesia is a multi-ethnic country and rich in arts and culture. One of the more famous ones is Pencak Silat, which is a form of self-defense handed down through generation which is reflective of cultural behavior of Indonesia which has been handed down from generation to generation. Pencak Silat is very popular like any other art of self-defense. It has also been included as a competitive sport in the international sporting events like the SEA Games and Asian Games.
“The material presented was very interesting, the delivery was simple and easy to understand. It can be applied directly to oneself, our family and others.” This was the statement of one of the participants when all the Health Training materials were distributed.
Ms. Raineldis Boleng Hayon known as "Ibu Oa," the coordinator of the Wadah Community Center or PKM Wadah in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) was invited by the Monash University in Australia to attend a training course on Empowering Women for Sustainable Development of Indonesia's Aquatic Living Resources from October 17, 2016 to 11 November 2016.
